Sofia is a city where encounters with stray cats and dogs are common. Many neighborhoods even adopt and care for them with great affection. If you ever feel the sudden urge to spend time with animals, there are plenty of interesting options beyond the classic visit to the Sofia Zoo. From cozy cafés with playful corgis to yoga sessions with puppies, and even horseback riding in the heart of the city, Sofia offers unique experiences for animal lovers.

Corgi Café: Coffee with a Side of Fluff

Corgis are undeniably charming, and at Corgi Café, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a light meal in the company of these adorable dogs right in the city center.

The café is owned by two delightful corgis who set the mood, sometimes energetic and playful, other times tired and in need of a nap. Their presence adds a warm, joyful atmosphere to the place.

Due to the café’s small size, making a reservation in advance is highly recommended, as seats fill up quickly. Keep in mind that while the dogs are carnivores, the food served for humans is entirely vegetarian and vegan.

Located in the heart of Sofia at Hristo Belchev Street, Corgi Café is a must-visit for dog enthusiasts.

Puppy Yoga: Relaxation with Furry Friends

For a truly unique experience, Puppy Yoga Bulgaria offers yoga sessions combined with the love of animals. Most classes feature puppies, though there are special kitten yoga days as well.

Participants must be at least 7 years old and accompanied by an adult (18+) for health and safety reasons. Everyone, including children, needs a ticket for the session. The number of puppies or kittens in each class depends on the size of the selected litter. All animals come from responsible owners who take good care of them.

These yoga classes also serve as a socialization opportunity for the puppies, helping them adapt to new environments and people before moving to their forever homes.

No prior yoga experience is required, instructors provide guidance for all levels. Mats are provided, and there are lockers available for personal belongings. The studio is located in the Student City Polyclinic, opposite Umbrella Bar. Follow the signs for MVJ SPORT upon entering.
